easyJet has operated its biggest ever flying programme at Birmingham, up 22% compared to last year.

The airline also carried over two million passengers in its 2025 financial year, a record number and 28% more than last year. This comes as easyJet today reported 9% earnings growth in FY25 with a headline profit before tax £665 million.

easyJet holidays beach packages to Majorca, Sharm-El-Sheikh and Dalaman were the top destinations for holidaymakers from Birmingham in 2025, while Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin proved popular for city break packages. The airline has also confirmed further growth at its Birmingham base, with a sixth A320 family aircraft set to join the fleet from next summer, enabling the airline to offer customers even more choice for flights and holidays across Europe and beyond.

The expansion will also support the local economy, with each UK-based aircraft supporting around 400 direct and indirect jobs and £27m UK gross value added (GVA). New routes to Rome, Inverness and Nice will also take off next summer meaning easyJet now offers an expansive network of 39 routes from Birmingham.
