A new service is launching to empower individuals with serious injuries and medical conditions to reach their rehabilitation goals.
The venture seeks to navigate complex funding systems while reducing stress and delays for vulnerable adults, providing dedicated case managers who connect patients with healthcare professionals, coordinate funding and keep everything running smoothly. Patients in south Wales needing a link between critical health services, funding and rehabilitation resources will be supported by experienced case managers through the new provision.
NRW Case Management is being launched by Network Recruitment Wales, which has been supporting clients and candidates in the healthcare and education sectors in the region for more than 25 years. Samantha Marriott (pic), General Manager of NRW Case Management, said: “Case management has huge room to grow in the UK. Having worked alongside the NHS and continuing healthcare teams providing staffing and governance support for some time, we want to develop the sector further and ensure vulnerable adults are supported as best we can.
“For those currently working roles as nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers, it gives them a chance to use their skills in a slightly different way. Healthcare agency roles change constantly, and this is a new frontier for a lot of clinicians to explore.
“For our clients, our case managers can act as a bridge between them and the individuals they support – we’re there to reduce the noise and help people to move steadily toward their rehabilitation goals.” The launch of the new service coincides with legislation change in Wales this month, expanding individual control over healthcare delivery with the advent of Direct Payments for Continuing Healthcare recipients.
Based in Llantrisant, NRW Case Management is part of MPS Healthcare Limited, a Care Inspector Wales entity and part of the Pertemps Network Group.
