England have been ordered to play one match behind closed doors as a punishment for the unrest at Wembley Stadium during the Euro 2020 final. UEFA also imposed a ban for a second game, which is suspended for two years.

The Football Association was fined 100,000 euros (£84,560) for the lack of order and discipline inside and around the stadium for the game.

42 athletes have been offered membership to join the British Athletics Paralympic World Class Programme (WCP) for 2021/22. The WCP is UK Sport’s National Lottery funded initiative supporting the delivery of success at named milestone targets, namely outdoor track World and European championships, and the Paralympic Games.

The WCP is split into several levels reflecting the actual and potential performance levels of athletes: Podium, Podium Potential and Confirmation. Paralympic T20 400m bronze medallist, Columba Blango, is offered Podium membership for the first time, while Tokyo champion in the T20 1500, Owen Miller moves up to the same level from Podium Potential.

Sports fans hoping to secure tickets for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games need to act fast as the main ticket ballot for the Games will close at 8pm today (Thursday September 30). There are more than one million tickets available for the Games, the biggest multi-sport event to be held in the UK since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, with prices starting at just £8 for under 16s and £15 for adults.
