Aston Martin has formally pledged its support to the Armed Forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant, strengthening its commitment to veterans, reservists, and military families as part of its wider Equity, Diversity and Inclusion strategy.

The signing ceremony took place on Monday 28 April 2025 at the company’s headquarters in Gaydon, with Aston Martin Executive Chairman Adrian Hallmark and Major General Dan Reeve MC GOC 1 Division in attendance, alongside Armed Forces veterans and reservists from across the business. The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated with fairness and respect in society.

By signing the Covenant, Aston Martin has committed to being an Armed Forces-friendly employer and to supporting those transitioning from military to civilian careers. Adrian Hallmark, Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, said:  "We’re incredibly proud to sign the Armed Forces Covenant. At Aston Martin, we recognise the outstanding value that veterans, reservists and military families bring to our business – from technical expertise to a strong sense of teamwork and leadership.

“This pledge is a meaningful step in ensuring we create a supportive, inclusive environment where every colleague can thrive." Major General Dan Reeve MC GOC 1 Division, who co-signed the Covenant, said: “We are pleased to welcome Aston Martin Lagonda as a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant.

“This public commitment reinforces the company’s recognition of the value and skills that veterans, Reservists, and military families bring to the workplace. By signing the Covenant, Aston Martin Lagonda joins a cohort of over 13,000 organisations across the UK who have pledged to support the Armed Forces community and uphold the principles of fairness and respect.”

Aston Martin’s pledge includes:

  • Supporting members of the Armed Forces community who are current or prospective employees
  • Promoting the business as an Armed Forces-friendly employer, welcoming applications from veterans, reservists, military spouses/partners and cadet instructors
  • Providing internal support through a dedicated Armed Forces Employee Resource Group
  • Marking key moments such as Armistice Day to honour the service and sacrifice of military personnel

This latest step further demonstrates Aston Martin’s commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace – and making Aston Martin a Great Place to Work for all.
