Benson United Football Club have announced the successful conclusion of its end-of-season events for each of its teams.
These festivities were made possible through the sponsorship of David Wilson Homes, which is currently developing new three, four and five bedroom homes at Chiltern Grange in Benson.
One of the highlights of the celebrations was the presentation of trophies to the club’s talented under 6s team. For many of these budding football stars, it marked their first experience of receiving end-of-season accolades, and lots of joy was shared on the day.
The club is excited to see this team in action this season as they embark on their journey in the Oxfordshire Youth League, competing against other clubs every Saturday morning. The under 7s team has much to be proud of as they completed their inaugural season in the Oxfordshire league with flying colours.
Their remarkable performance has earned them a well-deserved place in the top division for the upcoming season. The under 8s team took a slightly different approach to their end-of-season festivities, hosting a memorable barbeque that brought players, families, and supporters together to celebrate their achievements and bond over delicious food.
The under 11s team, on the other hand, embarked on an exciting team outing for their end-of-season celebrations tackling a local water obstacle course, creating lasting memories while receiving their hard-earned medals. The other youth teams also enjoyed exciting trophy handover events, concluding a successful 2022-23 season for the club.
