More climbing wall sessions are being introduced this Easter at the Centre for Skills and Learning in Pontllanfraith, giving families more opportunities to get involved.

One of the few half term activities where the whole family can take part together, the sessions offer a shared, active experience during the school holidays. Following strong interest in the first sessions earlier this year, Caerphilly Adventures has expanded the programme across the Easter school holidays, with sessions now available to book online.

Sessions will take place on Tuesday 31st March, Tuesday 7th April and Friday 10th April, with each day featuring multiple time slots. Sessions are priced at £8.25 per person, with places limited to eight participants per session to ensure a safe and high-quality experience.

Open to those aged 7+, participants must weigh between 10kg and 140kg. All specialist equipment and harnesses are provided. Councillor Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “It’s great to see these sessions returning with even more availability for families.

“The climbing wall has already proven popular, and increasing the number of sessions gives more people the chance to take part and enjoy something different over the Easter holidays.” The sessions form part of the council’s wider commitment to increasing opportunities for residents to be active, in line with the Sport and Active Recreation Strategy.

Places can be booked in advance via the Leisure Lifestyle App.
